“First-Mile, Last-Mile Connections to Transit” workshops
Are you interested in hosting a “First-Mile, Last-Mile Connections to Transit” workshop in your area? At this workshop the Indiana Citizens’ Alliance for Transit (ICAT) and local community partners discuss public transportation policy and its role in creating more ‘livable communities’ throughout Indiana.
As part of these workshops, attendees have the opportunity to conduct real bus stop accessibility assessments – examining the critical links between the sidewalk, bus stop, and bus ride – to ensure there are safe and accessible pathways of travel. The workshops are free to attend but registration is required.
These events were made possible by the Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities.

Transit Day at the Statehouse. We have held Transit Day at the Statehouse for three consecutive years (February 13, 2013; January 23, 2014; and March 10, 2015). This is a unique opportunity for transit advocates and community partners to convene to listen to speakers, network, and speak face-to-face with state elected officials on the impact that transit has in our local communities. You can see pictures of previous Transit Days on our Facebook page.
